Accommodation
Our cottage has been modernised to offer quality accommodation. Our ground-level property boasts views over the fields and towards the Cheviot Hills.The living room is a lovely place to relax after a day of discovering the area. Stay warm in the front of the log burner whilst watching your favourite show on the TV. Create a feast in the fully-equipped kitchen which has a dishwasher, Rayburn range and an electric oven and stove. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also available. Enjoy your home-cooked meal around the solid wood dining table which seats 8.
Two superb bedrooms come with comfortable beds. The master room has a double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. A travel cot and folding camp bed are both available. Both rooms share a shower room with a shower, heated towels rail, WC and handbasin.
Visiting Mindrum & Exploring Northumberland
We are in an ideal position, only a 5-minute walk from the Scottish border and close to Northumberland National Park. The nearby town of Wooler has five pubs, two wine bars, cafes and takeaways. Savour some excellent local produce at the butcher, baker, deli and chocolate shop. Walkers and cyclists can enjoy the routes and trails dotted around The Cheviot Hills, with Breamish Valley Hillfort Trail, Hetha’s Hike and Three Forts Foray offering some of the best. Attractions to visit include:Alnwick Castle.
Bamburgh Castle.
Holy Island.
National Trust – Cragside.
Lindisfarne Castle.
