Summary

Highcross Camping Coach & Living Van offers unique self catering accommodation in Whitecross near Netherbury. Our camping coach and living van have been beautifully renovated to offer accommodation in a stunning countryside location. We are a great base for exploring a range of attractions in Bridport and Dorset.

Camping Coach

Originally a Victorian Carriage on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway, camping coach now offers superb accommodation. The carriage retains many beautiful features from yesteryear, including gleaming brass luggage racks and leather window straps.

Facilities include a fold out double bed and a kitchen with a fridge, Belfast sink and black slate work surface. The bathroom has an electric shower, a flushing look, hand basin and heated towel rail. You can stay warm and toasty through the electric heater and we supply hot water bottles.

Living Van

This living van dates from 1906 and would have been towed by a steam roller and used by workmen repairing the roads. The lovingly restored van comes with two single beds or one double bed (converted from a table and bench). Facilities include a wood burning stove.

Outside there is a private garden and a table and chairs with deckchairs. A lovely place to admire the glorious views from. A pond is in the neighbouring garden and so if you are bringing young children please be aware of this.

A first class dining option is available in the dining carriage. The saloon dates from 1876 and is the oldest surviving carriage of the former London & South Western Railway. The saloon is available for hire, allowing guests to enjoy a first wonderful dinner prepared by a processionals cook or afternoon tea.
