About Hope Park Farm Holiday Cottages

Facing south, the self catering cottages enjoy stunning views over beautiful gardens towards the hills and valleys of Shropshire and Wales. No longer a working farm, Hope Park is tucked away from the road and surrounded by fields, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. During the summer months, we often have the most spectacular sunsets as late as 10 pm in the evening and with some of the clearest night skies in England, it is possible to get the most glorious views of the Milky Way.

Adjacent to our farmhouse home, Heron and Curlew cottages retain many original features and are bursting with character – wood burning stove (Heron) or electric stove (Curlew), beamed ceilings, natural slate floors and exposed stone walls. They provide spacious, well equipped and tasteful accommodation with a real homely feel where your comfort is our number one priority. Both cottages have night storage heaters in addition to the stoves.

Heron cottage sleeps 4 in 2 spacious bedrooms, a twin room and a super king en suite room. Curlew Cottage sleeps 2 plus 1 in a large vaulted double bedroom with a huge 6’ super king size bed and a second small under-eaves bedroom with a single bed ( accessed from the main bedroom).

Included in each cottage:

Free Wi-Fi.
A complimentary basket of logs, kindling and firelighters (additional supplies available for a small charge).
Bed linen and towels, extra pillows and cosy fleece blankets.
Basic provisions including tea, coffee, sugar, butter, milk, salt, pepper, oil and herbs.
Kitchen essentials including tea towels, cloths, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets, cling film, tin foil and kitchen roll.
Bathroom essentials including toilet paper and hand wash.
There is parking for one car per cottage, but we may be able to accommodate extra cars with prior notice.

Our property is surrounded by fields with sheep in, so we must insist that visiting dogs are kept on a lead at all times when outside the cottage. There is an additional charge of £15 per dog per stay.

There is a wealth of information in both Heron and Curlew Cottages and we have a good selection of maps and books about the area which you are welcome to borrow while you are here. There are plenty of things to do, places to visit and many places to eat out. The area is in no shortage of castles, gardens, museums, farm attractions, towns and villages. Great attractions to visit include:

National Trust - Attingham Park.
Shrewsbury Prison.
Shrewsbury Castle.
Battlefield Bird of Prey Centre formerly Battlefield Falconry Centre.
