Pond Cottage is a stunning self catering holiday home near Witheridge and is on the grounds of a working sheep farm and has been beautifully decorated and furnished to ensure that you have a relaxing, comfortable and enjoyable stay that will make you want to return time and time again. Our holiday cottage is within 150 acres of land so there are plenty of places to explore during your stay. The cottage lies adjacent to a picturesque pond surrounded by mature trees and shrubs.

About Pond Cottage

Pond Cottage is beautifully appointed with every available comfort. Inside the holiday cottage you will see a very spacious living room with a slate floor and a wood burning stove which heats the house perfectly. Free logs and kindling are available.

The open plan kitchen/dining area is perfect for entertaining your family or a friend as it is nice and spacious. Our luxury farm house kitchen has custom made brick units and granite work surfaces. There is also an electric range cooker with 3 ovens. Under floor heating is available throughout the whole ground floor level.

Upstairs are both bedrooms; the master bedroom has beautiful views over the Devon countryside to the south, a double bed & antique pine furnishings, an en suite shower & WC with all amenities. The second bedroom also has a double bed, en suite bathroom and views towards the farm house garden. Both bedrooms are spacious and can accommodate a cot in addition - a cot & highchair are available if required.

We also have an Arboretum with over 300 trees, including the largest Giant Redwood plant in the UK. If you are guests you are welcome to enjoy a free trip at the Arboretum.

Local Area

Tiverton is a historic market town occupied by the Romans who used it as a base for their activities in the West Country. The local museum provides an interesting insight into this aspect of the town's history. Visit the castle with its famous tapestry hangings and the pannier market held Fridays and Saturdays. There is a newly built leisure centre and a cinema. The river Exe passes through the town as does the Grand Western canal and horse drawn barge trips take you through the most picturesque countryside. Knightshayes and Killerton House, two National Trust houses with beautiful gardens are close by and well worth a visit.
