Summary

Teal Cottage is a traditional flint and brick fisherman's holiday cottage located in the town of Burnham Overy Staithe near the market town of King's Lynn in Norfolk.

Accommodation

The sitting room has an open fire, TV with Freeview and Netflix. Wi-Fi is available. There is also a dining room that has a Clearview wood burner and a door to the garden.

The kitchen is fully equipped and offers everything you will need for your self catering holiday. On the ground floor there is also a bathroom with a WC, bath and overhead shower. There is also another separate WC. The utility room has a washing machine, sink and drying area.

On the first floor there are three bedrooms that sleep a total of six people. Bedroom one has a double bed, bedroom two has twin beds and bedroom three has bunk beds. Please note that the staircase is a 'winding' staircase; it is steep and might be difficult for older people.

The garden is enclosed and secluded with a large grass area, flower beds, apple trees, table and a bench.

Local Area

For children, the playing field is close by with swings, slide, skateboard facility and 2 well-maintained tennis courts. There are many walks in the local area, both coastal and inland or you could cycle. There are excellent restaurants in Burnham Market, Wells and Brancaster also the food at the local pub just down the road is very good. Good shopping in Burnham Market (1 mile), Wells (5 miles) and Fakenham (10 miles). There are regular concerts throughout the summer in Burnham Market and South Creake and there is a theatre and a cinema in Wells. Recently a new once-a-month cinema has opened in South Creake. There is a self-pick orchard about 1.5 miles away.

Holkham Hall is 3 miles away along the coast. Apart from the house itself which you can go inside, there is a small museum, the lake and craft shops, as well as an excellent beach.
