About Brighouse Bay Holiday Cottages

Our cottages, called Cormorant (4 star), Oyster-Catcher and Sand Piper are three attractive, comfortable and fully equipped, with all the facilities required for a family holiday. All of our holiday homes are well equipped and are decorated and furnished to a high standard to ensure guests have an enjoyable stay. The accommodation includes:

Living room: Multi-fuel burning stove (kindling, logs and coal all included). Comfortably furnished with a sofa, two armchairs, TV, DVD, Video, Sky Freeview and a CD music system.
Kitchen; Washer/dryer; fridge/freezer, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave, dining table and 6 chairs. A high chair is available on request.
Bathroom: 3 piece white suite with a shower over the bath.
Upstairs - 3 bedrooms: Master bedroom with an en suite shower room, one further double bedroom and one twin-bedded room. Travel cot available on request.
Parking: To front and rear of cottages.
Pleasant enclosed garden with sea views, garden furniture and a BBQ.

Visiting Brighouse & Exploring Dumfries and Galloway

The bay boasts magnificent views over the Irish Sea and is surrounded by 1200 acres of great walking country. Quiet rural roads make for safe cycling and there is a free-to-use slipway close by if you want to bring along your dinghy. At the head of the bay, there is a safe sandy beach. The cottages are in a peaceful rural setting 2 miles from Borgue, and a bit further from Kirkcudbright, and they have expansive views over Brighouse Bay, the rolling Galloway hills and over the Solway to the Isle of Man. There is just a total of six properties on Brighouse Bay.
