Lochside Cottages & Chalets

Summary

Lochside Cottages & Chalets are nestled in the heart of Rob Roy country. This is in Lochearnhead at the foot of Glen Ogle in Perthshire. Locheardhead has a watersports centre and is popular for fishing. The accommodation has views of Edinample Castle, Glen Ample and Ben Vorlich.

The Barn

This traditional stone cottage sleeps 6 people in a double and 2 twin rooms. The living areas are open plan offering wonderful mountain views. It is well equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and a TV. Outside there is a lovely patio area with seating.

The Smiddy

The Smiddy also sleeps 6 people in a double and twin rooms which are gallery rooms. There is a stone living/dining room which is equipped with a wood burning stove, TV and fully fitted farmhouse style kitchen. Outside you will find a wooden table and chairs.

Lochside Chalets

Choose from 3 different types of chalet dependent on part size and requirements. Each is equipped with a fully fitted kitchen, TV, washing machine and parking. Cots and highchairs are available for a small fee. All the properties come with dishwashers.

Free use of jetty and free seasonal trout fishing on Loch Earn (between March and October).

Visiting Lochearnhead & Exploring Perthshire

Lochearnhead is at the western end of Loch Earn. It is popular for its outdoor activities. It has the remains of an ancient loch dwelling called Crannog.

Lochside is within the Trossachs which is a small woodland glen. It offers a range of outdoor activities and attractions. Crieff and Callander market towns are 30 minutes away. Stirling Castle and the spectacular falls of Dochart are some examples of places to visit.

Perthshire is a historic county with wonderful landscape. There are great walking and cycle routes. A trip to the Infamous Grouse Whisky Experience in Crieff. Some examples of the top attractions in the county include:
River Tay.
Balhousie Castle.
Branklyn Garden.
Perth Concert Hall.
