Each of our self-catering cottages is compact and comfortably furnished, making them ideal for elderly guests or those with partial disabilities, as they are all on a single level. Designed with charm and character, the cottages feature exposed wooden beams, a stone fireplace in the lounge and oil-fired central heating, ensuring a comfortable stay situated by Pendle Hill in the picturesque Ribble Valley. Located on our working sheep farm, home to Swaledale and pure-bred Blue Faced Leicester sheep, the cottages sit just outside the village of Worston, near Clitheroe. The farm is set at the base of Pendle Hill, offering stunning views across the open countryside of the Ribble Valley.
Inside, the lounges of both cottages provide comfortable seating and French windows that open out onto a private patio area. Each lounge is equipped with a TV and DVD player, while the cottages boast breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.
The spacious kitchen and dining areas include a gas cooker, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and a four-seater dining table with plenty of storage space. The cottages have their own water supply, sourced from a natural hillside spring.
Each cottage features a double bedroom with a dressing table and fitted pine wardrobe and a second bedroom with child-sized bunk beds (2'6" x 5'9"). The fully equipped bathroom includes a bath, shower, basin and WC.
Both cottages are heated with oil-fired central heating, with heating and electricity included in the rental price. For extra warmth, logs for the wood-burning stove are available at an additional cost. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside, each cottage has its own private patio and sheltered seating area, along with a large shared lawn offering views over the surrounding fields. Cyclists can take advantage of a lockable dry storage area for bikes and panniers, as well as a drying space for wet weather gear. Ample parking is available for both cottages.
