The self catering barns are an excellent base for those who want to explore the Derbyshire hills, stately homes and beautiful gardens throughout Cheshire.

Broomfield Barns are a great holiday letting property as there aren't many self catering accommodation facilities in the area.

How To Find Us

Travelling South on the M6:

Exit junction 18 to Holmes Chapel on the A54. Straight over mini roundabouts, follow sign to Macclesfield on the A535. After 1.5 miles notice Yellow Broom restaurant on the right. Continue past Terra Nova School (on right hand side). Next right down Farm Lane to Lower Withington on B5392, following signs to Conter Opera. Turn right at village green (signed Swettenhame and Somerford). At T-junction (opposite Red Lion) turn right into Trap Street. Next left (signed Somerford and Congleton). Past Black Swan on the right, over minor crossroads, past Conter Opera on the left hand side. After crossing bridge and right hand bend we are the first turning on the left marked Broomfield Barns and Cottage, then turn sharp right to Broomfield House.

From Manchester and Alderley Edge on the A34:

After Capesthorne Hall in right and a turning for Henbury on left, turn right on the B5392 signed Holmes Chapel. After 2.5 miles turn left, signed Swettenham and Somerford. Pass the Red Lion on the left hand side and take the next left turn following signs to Conter Opera. Pass the Black Swan on the right, over minor crossroads, past Conter Opera on the left hand side. After crossing bridge and right hand bend we are the first turning on the left marked Broomfield Barns and Cottage, then turn sharp right to Broomfield House.

Travelling North on the M6:

Exit Junction 17 towards Congleton on the A534. At second roundabout turn let towards Macclesfield. Go over lights and take third left signed Hulme Walfield (Giantswood Lane). After sign on right marked Broomfield House take the next right marked cottage and barns, go straight ahead and far right to back of barn, first blue door. (Broomfield House is a tall house on top of the hill, 3 miles along Trap Road).
