Summary

Hafod-y-Blodau is a self catering holiday cottage situated 3 ½ miles from Builth Wells, Powys (home of The Royal Welsh Show) in the heart of mid-Wales. This delightful converted barn is perched at the top of the hill with breathtaking views over the Irfon valley and the Cambrian Mountains. A birdwatchers paradise, on a level with birds circling high above the valley, Hafod is surrounded by pasture land and woodland to which tenants are permitted access on foot leading onto the open hill for walking enthusiasts. Fishing in the River Irfon is available by arrangement and there is pony trekking nearby.

Upstairs

Main bedroom - twin beds made as double with hand basin.
Second bedroom - twin beds.
Bathrooms with over the bath shower basin and WC.
All linen is provided.

Downstairs

Large comfortably furnished sitting room, with TV, DVD player and wood-burning stove - (logs provided). French Window giving access to a terrace.
Kitchen/dining room, well equipped, with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.
Night storage and convection heaters to supplement wood stove.
Entrance hall with washing machine, ample space for coats and boots.
Downstairs WC with hand basin.
Garden furniture and barbecue stored in the garden shed at the side of the cottage.
Outside the cottage, there is space for parking.

An easy drive to Hay on Wye, The Black Mountains, The Brecon Beacons and the Elan Valley Dams, Rhayader it provides an ideal refuge from the hurly-burly of everyday life with peace and tranquillity yet accessible to a wide range of interesting attractions or activities, either energetic or not!
