The Blue Parrot is a holiday cottage overlooking the mouth of the Deben in the village of Bawdsey. The self catering itself is a stone’s throw from the beach but possesses a fenced garden at the front and a private back garden making it ideal for families. It’s also just a short drive from the popular Suffolk market town of Woodbridge.

The Cottage

This accommodation sleeps 5 guests comfortably (plus a cot). It features storage heating with an optional open fire, a bathroom with hot and cold running water and a spacious sitting/dining room. The three bedrooms include a superb master double bedroom with estuary views, a twin bedroom (convertible to a double) with a cot and a single room. A modern fitted kitchen is well-equipped with amenities such as a fridge, dishwasher, microwave and washer dryer. Additional amenities include off-road parking, fenced gardens at both the front and rear of the property and a location just 20 yards from the sea, offering easy access to coastal views and activities.

The Blue Parrot offers an ideal base for those seeking a holiday on the Suffolk coast. Sailing enthusiasts will find excellent opportunities on the tidal estuary, while the area is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts and avid birdwatchers, with scenic countryside perfect for leisurely walks and bike rides along quiet lanes. Nearby pubs offer refreshments and dining options. A reliable bus service connects the area to the market town of Woodbridge, just 4 miles away (or 3 miles by sail), and continues onward to Ipswich, 20 miles distant. For added convenience, a passenger launch operates nearby, providing crossings over the Deben to Felixstowe multiple times daily.
