Magilligan Cottages in Magilligan are only a 20 minute drive from Limavady and they are in a great location to base yourself when exploring Co Londonderry. Our holiday cottages are just 4 miles from the beach and we are surrounded by wonderful Irish countryside making us a haven for walkers and wildlife enthusiasts.

About Loanen Cottage

The holiday cottage provides a retreat for people who are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of modern living. The holiday accommodation comprises of a large kitchen that is fully equipped with facilities such as dishwasher, microwave, cooker and fridge freezer. The living room has a TV, DVD player and wood burning stove creating a cosy environment for families to relax in with a book or playing one of the games available at the cottage.

A separate utility room contains a washing machine and tumble dryer.

There are two bedrooms in the holiday cottage, the master bedroom which has a double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. A cot is available on request and all towels and bedding are provided.

Outside of the holiday cottage is a large fully enclosed grass garden with BBQ and garden furniture. You can relax in the garden and enjoy the tranquillity of the location along with the lovely views of Binevenagh Mountains and the Donegal Hills.

The Old Byre

This is a modern built cottage sleeping 4-5 people in 2 double bedrooms, with an option of a single bed in the master bedroom if required. There is a bathroom with a shower over bath. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you may need including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer.

Outside there is a fully enclosed garden with garden furniture and BBQ.

The Old Byre is easily accessible if your mobility is limited and is also accessible for wheelchair assisted users. Please contact us to check suitability for your specific needs.

Local Area

The area is fantastic for those who enjoy outdoor activities as there is much available just a short drive from the holiday cottage such as fishing, golfing and pony trekking and gliding at the Ulster Gliding Club. A tennis court and children’s outside pool is available at Benone Complex. The beach at Benone has received the European Blue Flag and Seaside Award several times and is 7 miles of golden sand. If you want to venture a bit further the ferry which runs from Magilligan to Greencastle in Donegal is just a 5 minute drive.
