About Tigh Ruaraidh

Our four bedroomed holiday cottage is sat in a stunning location with incredible uninterrupted views across the Inner Sound to the islands of Raasay, Rona, Skye and the Outer Hebrides. It is ideal for small groups of family or friends.

The Shaker style kitchen is equipped with granite worktops, induction hob, built-in Neff 'Slide'n Hide' single oven, Everhot electric range cooker, microwave and warming drawer, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, food processor and electric hand mixer. The dining room is kept warm even in the middle of winter by the Morso wood burning stove. Guests can enjoy meals at the oak dining table whilst taking in the views through the large patio window.

The sitting room has a high cathedral style ceiling giving a sense of space and light. It is comfortably furnished with two sofas and armchairs. In the unlikely event that you tire of looking at the mesmerising and ever-changing view, there is Sky+ television with sports package. A large patio window opens directly out onto the terrace and garden. A small library of books to cater for all tastes includes reference and historical books of the area, wildlife and bird guides and some children's books and novels.

A ground floor bedroom with a 6’ king size bed (which can be split into two full single size bed) and an adjacent bathroom with bath, walk in shower, washbasin, WC and electric underfloor heating. Upstairs there are three further bedrooms, another king size bedded room with an armchair, a twin bedded room and a single bedroom. All bedrooms have storage and hanging space and are fully carpeted. All beds have electric blankets. There is a shower room with washbasin and WC, plus a heated towel rail. A cot, high chair and stair gate are available if needed.

Visiting Applecross & Exploring Wester Ross

Applecross is a small crofting and fishing community on the picturesque coast of Wester Ross in the Scottish Highlands. Applecross is made up of several small townships dotted around the coast of the Applecross peninsula. The Peninsula is famous for being accessed by one of the highest and most spectacular roads in Britain the Bealach na Ba (Pass of the Cattle).

If you want to switch off from the world without giving up on life's comforts and luxuries, there are few more out of the way, or better equipped, boltholes than Tigh Ruaraidh.
