Accommodation

Life Hill Farm Cottage is on a 500 acre arable farm on Sledmere Estate. The cottage enjoys views over rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Wolds. Discover that 'away from it all feeling' as you stroll along our tracks and margins.

On the ground floor is a cosy living room with an open fire and digital TV. An ideal place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the local area. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped to meet all your needs: ceramic hob, electric fan oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and washer/dryer. Separate dining room with tiled floor has a large dining table for you all to sit around and enjoy great local food.

On the first floor is one spacious en suite double bedroom with period furniture. There is a sofa bed to turn this room into a family room. Splendid views over open farmland can be enjoyed.

On the ground floor annexe are two bedrooms: one double with en suite wet room and toilet, and one twin (zip and link, can be 6ft double) with en suite shower room and toilet. Both have full pine bedroom suites and wooden floors. All bedrooms have digital flat screen TV, DVD, CD player and complimentary tea tray. Bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside is a patio area with furniture. Perfect for a spot of al fresco dining. A tennis court is also available for guests to use.

Any of the rooms can be combined to sleep up to 8 people.

Visiting Driffield & Exploring East Yorkshire

Driffield is perfect for exploring the local area. East Yorkshire is great for walking and riding: bring your horse or dog to share such pleasures as The Wolds Way or The Heritage Ride. Life Hill is centrally located to explore the East Coast. Many fine Historic Houses and The Deep. York, Hull and the North Yorkshire Moors are within 30 minutes’ drive. Many great days out are nearby:

The area is one of the richest archaeological areas in Britain, with a great concentration of prehistoric earthworks, including many burial mounds. Of the many sites around two stand out. There is a good display of finds and reconstruction from across the region at the Hull and East Riding Museum in Hull.
