South Wing Cottage - Sleeps 4
Our South Wing Cottage is situated in the southern end of one of the expansive barns adjacent to the main house, offering picturesque views of the garden and Bray Valley. It features a comfortably furnished living room with a TV and Amazon Firestick. The cottage accommodates up to 4 guests across 3 bedrooms—one large double and two singles. Amenities include superfast Wi-Fi (up to 100mb/s), a well-equipped kitchen with microwave, kettle, fridge, oven and dishwasher, as well as a bathroom with bath and shower facilities. Our East Wing cottage is situated within some of the oldest sections of the house, with the ground floor formerly serving as the Estate office and the upper floor once part of the main house's sleeping quarters. The cottage accommodates up to 5 guests across 3 bedrooms, a double, single and twin room. Guests can enjoy superfast Wi-Fi (up to 100mb/s) along with a well-equipped kitchen featuring a microwave, kettle, fridge, oven and dishwasher. The bathroom includes both bath and shower facilities. The living room is spacious, cosy and comfortably furnished, making it an ideal retreat. Perfect for animal enthusiasts, the cottage is conveniently located near chickens and ducks.Glamping Pods
Our two glamping pods are crafted from a repurposed "Nissen" Hut, set on the historic site of a POW Camp from the Second World War. Each pod includes a king-size bed, accommodating 2 guests (up to 4 upon request) and offers good 4G signal coverage on most networks. They feature a gas hob for cooking, USB and 12v ports powered by solar energy and access to a nearby shared shower block with hot water within a short distance. Children can enjoy outdoor fun in our woodlands equipped with a slide, monkey bars and swings. For rainy days, the badminton barn, which has been a well-used facility since its establishment post-WWII, offers perfect indoor activities. Guests can explore approximately 8 acres of our property and enjoy about 1 mile of private fishing along both banks of the River Bray, accessible with our permits or day passes by arrangement. The north of Devon is a rugged and wild area which makes it a haven for walkers, photographers, ramblers and painters who are looking to escape to the countryside. This is an excellent touring area - we are 16 miles from surfing beaches and 10 miles from coastal walks starting at Combe Martin. The house is close to Barnstaple, Ilfracombe, Lynton and Lynmouth. It is only 40 miles to Taunton and Exeter. Many lovely stately homes within close proximity such as Arlington Court, Killerton House, Knightshayes, Tapeley Park, Hartland Abbe are close by.For more information please visit our website.
