Cloag Farm Cottages are a group of 3 self-catering holiday homes located just outside of Methven in the peace and quiet of the Perthshire countryside. The holiday cottages have stunning views over Strathearn and are only 7 miles from Perth. Our holiday cottages make a great base for those who want to explore Perthshire with its legacy of castles and historic sites. Cloag Farm produces oats for porridge, barley for whisky and beer and some wheat.

About Cloag Farm Cottages

Each cottage sleeps up to 4 people in 1 double and 1 twin bedroom. The twin bedrooms have 2 ft 6in wide (West and East) and 3 ft wide (Central) beds and all beds will be made up, ready for your arrival. The bedding is continental quilts, sheets, pillows and blankets and is included in the price.

The kitchens have electric cooking and come with the usual full range of equipment, including a fridge, microwave and automatic washing machine. All of the holiday cottages have full oil-fired central heating and hot water. There is always coal available for the open fires in the living rooms where there is a TV, DVD player, telephone and free fast Fibre Wi-Fi.

They are safely set away from main roads and traffic & have panoramic southerly views. The self-catering cottages have ample parking immediately beside them and are surrounded by lawns, with mature woodland as a backdrop.

Visit Scotland inspects us and has awarded us three stars. We hold a Silver Green Tourism Business award. We also belong to the Association of Scotland's Self Caterers, our professional body.

Visiting Methven & Exploring Perthshire

The village of Methven is within walking distance or two minutes by car. It has a Post Office and shop, fish and chip/Chinese take-away, a public house , a high-quality Indian restaurant and a garage for servicing. It also has a mini supermarket and a park with children's play equipment and tennis courts.

Perth itself is 15 minutes by car and is an excellent shopping centre with a wide choice of shops and supermarkets. There is also a busy concert hall, a museum, art gallery, a theatre, a children's indoor theme park, an ice rink and a leisure pool, which is always popular with our visitors.
