Borrobol Cottages

Summary

Borrobol Cottages offers delightful self catering near Kinbrace, nestled by the River Helmsdale in the Strath of Kildonan. Our two estate cottages in Sutherland offer a boat and seasonal trout fishing on Loch Ascaig and the use of a canoe and kayak, perfect for a memorable getaway. Both cottages can be booked together for larger parties of up to 10 people.

The Gardener's House

Our house sleeps up to 6 people, ideal for families or groups. Dogs are welcome.

You can relax in the sitting room in front of the traditional log fire and TV/DVD layer. Logs are provided. The well-equipped kitchen has a variety of appliances: a washer/dryer machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer.

Bedrooms consist of 1 double bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms. Downstairs there is a family bathroom/shower and upstairs there is a second lavatory. Pure cotton bedding is provided for all the beds.

Crocdhu Cottage

We offer accommodation for up to 4 people in this cosy estate cottage. Dogs are welcome.

Inside we have an open plan kitchen which is well equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, electric cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer. Unwind in the sitting room and enjoy views onto the hills from the large windows. Facilities included a log-burning stove and TV/DVD player. Logs are provided.

Bedrooms include 1 double and 1 twin, with both sharing a family bathroom/shower. Bedrooms come with pure cotton bedding.

Visiting Kinbrace & Exploring Sutherland

Our cottages are in a brilliant position for discovering all that the area has to offer. During the season, fly fishing for wild brown trout can be enjoyed on Loch Ascaig, whilst seasonal fishing along the five-mile River Friadh is also available. The area has lots of beautiful walking and cycling routes. Attractions to see in Sutherland include:
