Accommodation

The House on the Point has been meticulously renovated to preserve its original charm as a traditional blackhouse. Retaining low doorways, v-lined ceilings, and walls, it offers a genuine glimpse into its historic origins. Centrally heated by an efficient oil-fired Combi-boiler, the house ensures warmth throughout, even in severe weather conditions. A welcoming real log fire enhances the cosy sitting room, furnished with two double settees, occasional tables, and a TV. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities including an electric cooker, hob, refrigerator, microwave, toaster and electric kettle. The bathroom features a WC, washbasin and thermostatically controlled shower. Upstairs, a steep, narrow staircase leads to a landing with two fitted wardrobes. Sleeping four comfortably, the landing leads to two bedrooms—one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. Original roof-light windows in both bedrooms and the landing overlook the water, ideal for guests equipped with binoculars and zoom cameras to enjoy the view.

Visiting Kylerhea 7 Exploring Isle of Skye

Sited on the quiet and tiny township of Kylerhea, which has only 14 houses, it is an idyllic haven, surrounded by a National SSSI, (Site of Special Scientific Interest). You often see otters, seals, deer and eagles in the area. The area is also great for fishing and birdwatching. You climb the Cuillin Hills and admire the views from the summit or enjoy a scenic walk/hike and admire the gorgeous landscape. Attractions to visit on the Isle of Skye include:
