Riding Farm Cottages offers luxurious self catering accommodation near Beamish, nestled in a glorious rural countryside setting. We are less than half an hour’s drive to Gateshead and the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, making us a great base for exploring the area.

Accommodation

We have 9 fantastic cottages available which offer an array of modern comforts to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottages sleep between 2 – 9 people and come with fully equipped kitchens, high-quality furnishings and modern bathrooms. 6 of the cottages boast en suite bedrooms. The cottages are great for a short break, family holiday or longer stays.

Bowes Barn

This delightful cottage sleeps 3 people in two bedrooms which can be made as a king or twin. Outside the cottage is a lovely secure patio that enjoys gorgeous views over the views.

Lapwing Cottage

Our fabulous cottage sleeps 2 people in a king/twin en suite room, great for a romantic getaway.

The Hay Loft

This charming cottage sleeps 4 people in 1 super king/twin room and 1 twin/king room. Both rooms come with en suite facilities. Outside there is a secure courtyard garden for al fresco dining.

Granary Barny

Our cosy barn sleeps 4 people in 2 king/twin en suite bedrooms. Outside there is a sunny patio and lawn, great for a coffee in the morning sun.

Sheep Pen

This beautiful cottage is great for couples or families and sleeps 4 people in 2 king/twin en suite rooms. The ground floor cottage has a private and secure courtyard garden which is the perfect sun trap.

Riding Cottage

Our superb cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 king/twin bedrooms with en suite facilities and features glorious exposed beams. A private and secure patio garden is ideal for a glass of wine in the evening sun.

Miller Barn

This wonderful cottage sleeps 5 people 1 king/twin en suite room, 1 single room and 1 king/twin bedroom. A family bathroom has a shower over the bath. The south-facing patio enjoys stunning countryside views.

Pig Run Barn

Our brilliant cottage sleeps 4 people in 2 king/twin en suite bedrooms. A private west-facing patio offers breathtaking countryside views.

Beamish Cottage

This gorgeous cottage sleeps 2 in a king/twin en suite room, perfect for the ultimate romantic break. A private southeast-facing patio is great for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.

Brookside Byre

Our quaint cottage sleeps 6 in 1 master/king room which has a fully fitted wet room and 2 king/twin bedrooms with a Jack and Jill shower en suite to share.

Cross Cottage

This outstanding barn sleeps 6 people in 3 ground floor bedrooms: 1 super king/twin with a Jack and Jill en suite wet room, 1 twin/king with a Jack and Jill en suite wet room and 1 super king/twin with an en suite bathroom. A private patio with furniture offers a lovely spot to unwind in after a day in the countryside.

Visiting Beamish & Exploring Tyne & Wear

Riding Farm is an ideal location to explore the North East, including the award-winning Beamish Museum which is right on our doorstep. You can also visit the world heritage site of Durham Cathedral, Hadrians Wall and International cricket at Chester-le-Street. Brilliant shopping opportunities and a great range of restaurants can also be found in Newcastle/Gateshead. Further attractions to visit include:
