The Shippon offers charming self catering accommodation in Newton-le-Willows. The 18th Century barn near Bedale is ideal for touring North Yorkshire and the Northern Dales

The Shippon enjoys panoramic views and is surrounded by open countryside. It has been tastefully furnished to a very high standard and offers all the modern comforts whilst retaining its original features. It includes Victorian stripped pine doors and furniture. Our single storey cottage is level throughout and has an adjoining garden.

The sitting / dining room has a beamed ceiling, flat screen 42‘’ HD TV with Freeview, radio, DVD player, CD player, stone fireplace with an electric fire and a stone window seat. The luxury breakfast kitchen has a beamed ceiling and is fully fitted to a very high standard. Appliances include electric cooker, microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and sandwich toaster.

The twin bedroom comes with an en suite bathroom with a 3 piece suite included bath with shower over, a heated towel rail and a wall heater.

Outside is two acres of gardens, which guests are welcome to enjoy. Garden furniture is dotted around the grounds. You can also enjoy our delightful summerhouse. It boasts far reaching views of the Cleveland Hills.

All bed linen and towels are provided. We can also provide electric blankets.

The Shippon is at the foot of Wensleydale which is the upper valley of the River Ure. The area is renowned for its beauty & charm and is the widest of all the Yorkshire Dales. If you want peace and relaxation, you can stroll around the beautiful countryside. Lots of great attractions are nearby:
