Thyme Cottage is a late-Victorian terraced house dating from the 1880s and sits on quiet North Clifton Street, right in the heart of Lytham St Annes. Only a few minutes’ level walk from Clifton Street’s boutiques, cafés and restaurants and a gentle stroll from the famous green and windmill on the seafront, the cottage blends period charm with contemporary comforts.
The cottage has been extensively refurbished to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, offering a blend of style and practicality throughout. The lounge and dining area feature wooden floors, creating a warm and inviting space to unwind, while the modern kitchen is equipped with a fridge, freezer and dishwasher. A separate utility room houses a washing machine and tumble dryer and there is also a convenient downstairs cloakroom. The accommodation includes a king-size bedroom, a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, all with memory foam beds and luxury cotton bed linen. The family bathroom boasts a walk-in shower and the first floor opens onto a private decking area, ideal for al fresco dining.
Additional touches include a Smart HD television with Sky, Wi-Fi and an iPad docking station for entertainment. Guests are provided with all linen and towels, as well as bathrobes and slippers in the king bedroom and toiletries in the bathroom. A welcome tray with refreshments and a complimentary bottle of wine are also included to help you settle in and start your break in style.
Lytham is one of Lancashire’s classic seaside resorts, famed for its wide green, elegant seafront and Grade II-listed windmill standing sentinel since 1805. Stroll along the promenade for views across the Ribble estuary, then meander back to Clifton Street for independent shops, delis and restaurants. Lytham Hall, a splendid Georgian country house set in parkland, hosts heritage open days, Nordic walks and seasonal events. Golfers are spoilt for choice with several renowned courses nearby, while families can enjoy mini golf, bowling, boating on the lake or simply paddling at St Annes beach. Blackpool’s famous tower and illuminations are an easy drive or tram ride away, and the rolling countryside of the Ribble Valley lies just inland for walkers and cyclists.
