Battens Farm is an organic farm situated in the picturesque Cotswolds, just two miles from the village of Castle Combe, famously featured in the film War Horse. It is also conveniently located eleven miles from Bath.

Our two cottages provide cosy, traditional country-style accommodation, complete with roaring log fires, plush sofas and views of the surrounding fields.

Stable Cottage sleeps up to 3 people and is a converted Cotswold stone stable block, offering self catering accommodation with exposed beams, a cosy wood-burning fire and a bright, contemporary country style. All on one floor, it includes a double bedroom, a single bedroom, a comfortable bathroom, and a generous kitchen/living area with an attractive stone floor throughout. An extra bed is available for additional guests. Outside, the cottage features a private lawn and patio area with outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The Farmhouse comfortably sleeps six and offers spacious accommodation across two floors. It includes one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a single bedroom, along with a well-appointed bathroom. The large kitchen/breakfast area, expansive living room and dining room feature a log-burning fire and picturesque views of the surrounding fields. The traditionally decorated rooms are bright and airy, with features like a beautiful wooden staircase and an impressive fireplace. An extra bed is available for additional guests, and outside, a patio area provides the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful setting.

On-site amenities include a tennis court, a barbecue area and a charming summer house for guests house. Guests can also choose to use the self catering as a B&B and then have breakfast delivered to your door (please enquire).

Battens Farm is just four miles from Lacock, a picturesque village featured in Harry Potter and numerous period dramas, as well as four miles from Corsham, recently celebrated for its role in Poldark. The nearby Westonbirt Arboretum offers stunning natural beauty and the farm is ideally situated for those attending the annual Badminton Horse Trials.
