Lower East Court is an elegant and spacious first-floor apartment situated in the Victorian wing of Tiverton Castle. Thoughtfully furnished to a high standard, this property sleeps four people and offers a comfortable and stylish retreat, perfect for families or small groups.

Accommodation

The apartment features full gas central heating and electricity, ensuring a cosy stay regardless of the season. All linen and towels (except beach towels) are provided, with all beds fitted with duvets for added comfort. Guests benefit from free Wi-Fi, onsite parking and lockable storage for bicycles. Complimentary tours of the Castle are also included, making it a delightful experience for history enthusiasts. Please note, pets are not permitted, and the property is non-smoking. A Friday changeover is preferred, although flexibility may be available.

The accommodation includes a well-equipped kitchen and dining area, complete with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A utility cupboard houses a washer/dryer for added convenience. The spacious sitting room is perfect for relaxation, featuring a TV, DVD player, CD/radio and an electric coal-effect fire.

The sleeping arrangements comprise two bedrooms: one with a luxurious 5' double bed and another with twin beds, ideal for family stays. The property includes a main bathroom with a bath, shower attachment, WC, bidet and washbasin. Additionally, there is a shower room with two steps leading up to it and a separate cloakroom, also accessible via two steps, with a WC and washbasin.

For families travelling with young children, a cot (without linen) and a high chair are available upon request.

Outside the beautiful gardens have steps which lead down to the River Exe. You can enjoy a free tour of the castle when it is open to the public 2 afternoons a week from Easter Sunday through to the end of October. Free seasonal fruit and veg is available from our kitchen garden.

Our apartment is conveniently located just a short stroll from the heart of the historic market town, where you'll find a wide variety of shops and restaurants to explore. Nearby, numerous charming village pubs offer excellent food and we’re happy to provide recommendations. The local leisure centre which is just 5 minutes away offers EV Car charging, tennis, skateboarding, a swimming pool and more.
We can also guide you to a range of local attractions to suit all interests. The property also provides easy access by car to the stunning landscapes of Exmoor and Dartmoor, the vibrant city of Exeter and the beautiful beaches of both the North and South coasts.
