Summary

Beacon Cottage Farm is a traditional 650-acre Cornish family farm, raising cows, calves, sheep and chickens, along with arable farming. Situated in beautiful countryside just a few hundred yards from the sea, the farm is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coast. Awarded Dark Skies Status in 2014, it’s just a short walk from the Southwest Coast Path.

Accommodation

We offer two self-catering stone holiday cottages, built and equipped to the highest standards, each graded 4 stars and awarded the Visit England Gold Award. Both cottages have private parking and are accessed through their own secure gardens, complete with picnic tables and garden benches for your enjoyment.

The lounges are cosy and comfortably furnished with a TV, DVD player and traditional inglenook fireplaces, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Free Wi-Fi is available in both cottages. The solid wood kitchens are fully fitted and extensively equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave and washer dryer, ensuring all your cooking needs are met.

Both of the cottages sleep four guests, with one double and one twin bedroom. All bed linen is provided, and the beds are made up before your arrival. Cots and high chairs are available in both cottages. The bathrooms are tastefully tiled and come equipped with a bath, power shower, heated towel rail, WC and wash basin.

Each cottage features full central heating with radiators in every room and all heating and electricity costs are included in the rental. For extra warmth during the winter months, both cottages also have a wood burner to create a cosy atmosphere.

Croft Cottage: The bedrooms are located upstairs. The double bedroom features an ensuite with a toilet and wash basin, while the twin bedroom includes its own wash basin.

Bramble Cottage: This is a single-storey property with no stairs, making it ideal for individuals with restricted mobility.

Visiting the Area

This area is perfect for walking, with miles of peaceful tracks and paths along the coast and through secluded valleys right from the cottages. The cottage gardens offer stunning sea and coastal views, ideal for relaxing with a drink after exploring the coastal path, local beaches, or charming Cornish villages. The picturesque village of St. Agnes is just a short drive or scenic walk away, offering excellent bakeries, grocers, craft shops, pubs and restaurants. For the more active, nearby activities include surfing, horse riding, fishing, sailing and golf. Alternatively, you can simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of this beautiful part of Cornwall. St. Agnes is also a great base for touring, with Truro just 10 miles away and attractions like The Eden Project, Maritime Museum and The Tate Gallery within easy reach.
