Melrose Cottage offers superb self catering accommodation in the peaceful village of Fylingthorpe near Whitby. We are ideally placed to discover all that North Yorkshire has to offer.

Accommodation

Our cottage sleeps up to 4 people plus a baby in a cot. The cottage is based down a country lane and is south-facing.

Inside we have a sitting room with a sofa and armchair, flat screen TV and coal effect gas fire. The large kitchen comes with a range of appliances: a washing machine, oven with an extractor over, microwave and a fridge. The dining area seats 4 people.

On the first floor, we have 2 bedrooms: 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom. The double room includes a flat-screen TV. Both rooms share a family bathroom with a bath, WC, wash basin and shower cubicle. All bed linen and towels are included.

Outside we have an enclosed long garden with a lawn area and seating, great for al fresco dining in the afternoon sun.

Visting Fylingthorpe & Exploring North Yorkshire

We are close to the fishing village of Robin Hoods Bay and just 5 miles from Whitby and 16 miles from Scarbrough. Locally there are lots of walking and cycling routes to enjoy. In Fylingthorpe, there is a butcher, bakers, a Methodist Church and a pub. Attractions to visit include:

Whitby Abbey.
199 Steps.
Whitby Museum.
Whitby Beach.
Whalebone Arch.
