The Moorings in Sidnish offers exceptional self-catering accommodation on the shores of a stunning sea loch in North Uist. This idyllic Scottish retreat is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with opportunities to spot otters, seals and a variety of seabirds right on your doorstep. Perfectly situated for exploring the breathtaking landscapes and rich heritage of the Western Isles, The Moorings provides the ideal base for an unforgettable Scottish island getaway.
Our cottage sleeps up to 6 people and features modern facilities throughout. We are a great place for birdwatching and fishing.
We have a living toom with a TV, DVD player, fireplace and seating, offering a great place to relax after a day sightseeing. The fully-equipped kitchen includes a range of appliances: dishwasher, freezer, cooker, fridge, microwave, tumble dryer and washing machine. A separate dining area includes a high chair and offers stunning views.
In total, we have 3 bedrooms: 1 double and 2 twins. All the rooms share a bathroom with a shower over bath.
Outside we have a garden to relax in whilst enjoying the views of the landscape.
You can see lots of wildlife whilst staying with us, including deer, otters and sea eagles. Only 4 miles from us is Lochmaddy, home to a museum, cafe, gift shop and the Taigh Chearsabhagh Arts Centre. You can visit the Hebridean Smokehouse which produces smoked salmon and has a gift shop and viewing gallery. Attractions to visit include:

Scolpaig Tower.
Museum nan Eilean.
