Garth Barns and Country House offers outstanding self catering accommodation just 2 miles from Llanidloes. Our properties are set in stunning countryside, ideal for weddings, retreats, events and holidays in Powys.

Accommodation

We have 3 properties to choose from, 2 converted barns and Garth Country House. Hafod Barn, Ty Nant Barn and Garth Country House can be combined to sleep 42 people in 18 bedrooms.
All the properties are nestled in 200 acres of countryside and have access to a range of facilities, including a gym, table tennis, yoga, pool table, sauna, BBQ, fire pit and a private lake for boating and wild swimming (just a short walk from the accommodation).

Haford Barn

Our stone barn has been converted to offer modern accommodation. The barn features spacious open plan living spaces and lots of natural light. In total, there are 6 bedrooms, including 4 en suites to sleep 16. There is an open plan design, a fully-equipped kitchen and a utility room. Outside there are 2 terrace areas with seating and a large BBQ cabana for al fresco dining, plus a fire pit and apple orchard.

Ty Nant Barn

We offer accommodation in this restored stone barn. The barn offers lots of original features and a range of facilities. In total, there are 6 en suite bedrooms that sleep 18 people. There is a fully-equipped kitchen with an open plan dining area, utility room and living room. Outside there are terrace areas with seating, ideal for a glass of wine in the evening sun. To the rear is a large private lawn.

Garth Country House

Our country house was originally the farmhouse of Garth Farm and has now been fully renovated to offer quality accommodation. The house still maintains lots of original features, including an original staircase and Victorian tiled floors. In total, there are 6 en suite bedrooms to sleep 16 people. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a dining space, a utility room with laundry facilities, a spacious front room and further living spaces. Outside there is an undercover deck with seating and a BBQ, private grade, private sun terrace and further outdoor seating.

Visiting Llanidloes & Exploring Powys

Right on our doorstep are lots of countryside walks to enjoy. The nearby town of Llanidloes is home to cafes, pubs, grocery stores, supermarkets, a fish shop, several butchers’ shops, a post office and independent shops. Only 15 minutes from us is Clywedog Reservoir which offers fly fishing. 5 minutes away is St. Idloes Golf Club. Attractions to visit include:
