Summary

Stay In Southdowns at Forestside offers luxurious self catering accommodation in two bespoke shepherd huts. Nestled on our family farm in Hampshire, we have petting sheep, cows, chickens and arable fields. Only a 15-minute walk away is the Rowlands Castle train station.

Accommodation

Our large shepherd’s huts are finished to the highest standards, offering a king-size bed, toasty wood burners, flushing toilets, sumptuous showers and a fully-equipped kitchen. Each hut enjoys glorious rural views.

Deer Lodge

This spacious shepherd’s hut comes with a comfy living space including a toasty wood burner and seating that can be converted into a single bed. Enjoy some home cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen that comes with a range of appliances: an electric induction hob, fridge with ice box, combination microwave oven, kettle and butlers sink.

The bedroom has a comfortable king-size bed and offers fabulous views across the farm and to the ancient woodland. A bathroom has a rainforest shower and a flushing toilet. Outside there is also a luxurious double-ended freestanding bath to soak yourself in. A firepit and seating area are great for star gazing under the starry night sky.

Leaping Lamb

Inside this bespoke hut is a fully-equipped kitchen/living room with an electric hob, fridge, combination microwave and butlers sink. The seating offers delightful country views. The bedroom comes with a comfy king-size bed and offers lovely field views. A bathroom has a spacious rain shower head and a flushing toilet.

Outside there is a double-ended freestanding bath with offers glorious woodland views. A seating area and fire pit are also provided.

Visiting Forestside & Exploring Hampshire

Right on our doorstep are lots picturesque walking routes. Only a gentle 10-minute walk away are the local pubs of The George in Finchdean, The Robinhood, The Fountain and The Castle in the village of Rowlands Castle. A 10-minute drive away will take you to Emsworth, home to boutique shops, pubs, cafes and a brilliant ice cream shop. Superb attractions to visit include:
