The Lodge at Mill Ford House offers charming self catering accommodation in Sculthorpe. Based in an idyllic countryside overlooking Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserve, were ideal for a tranquil holiday in Norfolk. We are near Fakenham and in a great position for exploring the area.

Accommodation

Our wonderful lodge is tucked away in a private garden on the bank of the River Wensum, with kingfishers and swans often seen in the river. The lodge sleeps 2 people and is perfect for a romantic getaway.

Our self-contained lodge is well-equipped for a comfy and relaxing stay. A small kitchen/dining area comes with a fridge and icebox, an oven, hob, grill and a Nespresso coffee machine. You can enjoy a restful night’s sleep on the king-size bed and the en suite bathroom has a shower and toilet. Catch your favourite show on the flat-screen TV that includes Netflix.

Outside there is a delightful wooden decking area with recliners to lounge on whilst admiring the setting. A small BBQ is great for al fresco dining.

We provide a lovely breakfast to set you up for the day ahead, including granola, fruit juice, yoghurt, fresh fruit, bread and croissants with homemade jams and marmalades. Teas and coffees are also available, and eggs are provided from our own hens.

The owners have a hard tennis court to use and you can also borrow bicycles.

Visiting Sculthrope & Exploring Norfolk

Norfolk has some of the finest beaches in the whole country, great for watersports, fishing and sailing. Enjoy a spot of bird watching at Snettisham and Titchwell RSPB Reserves, whilst The Hawk and Owls Trust Reserve & Sculthorpe Moor is only a few hundred yards from us. Stunning walks can be enjoyed on the coastal path whilst the bustling town of Burnham Market is great for shopping. Superb attractions to visit include:
