Barrhill Far in Newton Stewart offers superb self catering accommodation, perfect for exploring a gorgeous area of Scotland. Our properties are based in a brilliant location for exploring Dumfries and Galloway.

Cairnsmore Cottage – Sleeps 7:

Our charming cottage is perched in an elevated position and offers glorious views towards Cairnsmore, one of the highest of the Galloway Hills range. The tastefully furnished ground level cottage comes with a cosy lounge that offers amazing views from the balcony. Excellent entertainment facilities include a flat-screen TV, Freeview, DVD, iPod dock, and hi-fi. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully equipped kitchen that includes a cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Enjoy some tasty meals around the dining table.

Bedrooms consist of a king en suite room and a family room with a double bed and an additional single bed, plus 1 twin. The main bathroom has a shower over bath. Outside there is a patio terrace with garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining whilst enjoying the spectacular views.

Creeview Cottage – Sleeps 4:

This stunning cottage enjoys glorious views and comes with everything you need for a magical getaway. Unwind in the cosy lounge that has a flat screen TV, Freeview, DVD, iPod dock, and hi-fi. Cook up a storm in the fully-equipped kitchen that includes a range of excellent appliances: cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. Enjoy some delicious dishes around the dining table.

There are two attractive bedrooms, a king and twin room. Both rooms share a bathroom. Outside there is a patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ for al fresco in the afternoon sun.

Carty Cottage – Sleeps 2:

Our fabulous cottage is a haven for outdoor lovers and enjoys amazing views over Galloway. The studio style accommodation includes an open plan sleeping area including a king size bed. The well-equipped kitchen has a cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Unwind in the lounge that has a flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD player and iPod dock. You can also unwind in the balcony and there is a separate shower. Outside there is a balcony.

The charming town of Newton Stewart is inly a 5 minute drive away and home to s shops and amenities including three supermarkets, a cinema and a museum. You can explore Galloway Forest and enjoy the world-class 7Stanes Biking Trails, plus lots of great walking routes. Super attractions to visit while staying with us include:
