Visiting Port Charlotte & Exploring the Isle of Islay

The Isle of Islay is a stunning part of Scotland and is roughly 25 miles long and 20 miles wide. It has a fairly temperate climate due to the Gulf Stream and is home to an abundance of wildlife, beautiful scenery and whisky distilleries. There are currently nine working distilleries on the island, several of which offer guided tours and include a free dram! Those who appreciate the fine taste and variety of the Islay malts will no doubt savour a pilgrimage to the origin of their favourite tipple.

For those who are visiting the website to see the wildlife, flora and fauna you will not be dissapointed. Islay is a haven for birdwatchers, and has a reputation for attracting unusual birds.
