The Garden House At Old Semeil provides self catering accommodation in the beautiful glens of Strathdon, situated within the Cairngorms National Park. We are 45 miles west of Aberdeen and just one hour from the airport and railway, making us a great base for exploring Aberdeenshire.

Accommodation

Our single storey house boasts a sheltered patio enjoying superb views over the fields, hills and forestry. We are perfect for a tranquil holiday in a beautiful setting. The property sleeps 6 people and is great for children or a group.

A well-equipped kitchen has a cooker, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Bedrooms consist of one double and one twin, plus a sofa bed. The shower room has a WC and a second bathroom has a bath and wash basin. All bed linen and towels are included. Facilities include Freesat TV and free Wi-Fi.

Visiting Strathdon & Exploring Aberdeenshire

We are in the ideal location for discovering the local area. The Castle Trail, The Whisky Trail and the Moray Coastal Trail are all nearby, whilst the Highland Games are held throughout the summer, with the Lonach Games in Strathdon one of the oldest. In Strathdon there is a licensed Spar Shop and Post office, as well as hotels which serve great food. Royal Deeside is within easy reach, home to Balmoral Castle and the bustling centres of Ballater and Braemar. Attractions to visit include:

Glenbuchat Castle.
Lost Glen.
Loch Muick.
Bag Lochnagar.
Deeside Railway.
