Gilestone Farm offers self catering accommodation near the bustling village of Talybont-on-Usk in Powys. We perfect place to escape from the pressures of modern life. You can stroll around the community orchard on the farm or enjoy a hike or bike ride up Brecon Beacons.

Glamping

Our luxurious canvas lodges are perfect for a break in a countryside setting. Each lodge comes with Egyptian cotton linen, comfy beds, an en suite bathroom and a private wood-fired hot tub. The lodges are individually designed and you can take a wild swim or take the rowing boats out on the lake in the neighbouring field.

Goshawk and Buzzard both sleep 6 people in 3 bedrooms: a double, twin and cabin bed. You stay warm and cosy in front of the log burner and a well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of excellent appliances: gas hob, a fridge with a freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. An en suite pitch pod comes with a shower, flushing loo and basin. Outside there is a fire pit and BBQ to enjoy.

Dove sleeps between 4 to 6 people in 3 bedrooms, including a double and a twin. The sitting area comes with a sofa and two chairs. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of excellent appliances. Outside there is a fire pit and private hot tub to enjoy.

Lodges

We now have four new luxury wooden lodges. Two lodges sleep six and two are perfect for couples. Each lodge features a private garden, secure bike storage, a cosy wood burner and a hot tub.

Fulmar & Grouse sleep six, offering a double ensuite, twin room, king-size bedroom, spacious living area with kitchen, dining space, wood-burning stove, underfloor heating, Wi-Fi and a TV. Outside, enjoy a BBQ, covered dining area and hot tub, with stunning views of the farm and Usk Valley.

Ptarmigan & Osprey sleep two, with a king-size bedroom and luxury bathroom, Ptarmigan with a walk-in shower, Osprey with a freestanding bath. Both lodges feature a modern kitchen, wood burner, underfloor heating, Wi-Fi and a TV, plus outdoor dining, BBQ and hot tub with lovely hill views.

Gilestone Farmhouse

This stunning farmhouse sleeps up to 15 people and is perfect for large groups to spend quality time together. The kitchen has a large pine table and chairs and four oven Aga. The kitchen is fully equipped including a large American style fridge freezer. There are two sitting rooms and a conservatory to relax in, the sitting room and morning room both have log burning stoves. The seven bedrooms are situated over two floors and there are two large bathrooms on the first floor, along with a downstairs shower room, and second floor shower room. Outside there are fabulous lawns and views and there is a BBQ and outdoor furniture available.

Visiting Talybont-on-Usk & Exploring Powys

Talybont is a small village which is perfect for walkers and cyclists. The village has a canal, two rivers, a reservoir, hills, woods, waterfalls, wildlife, local arts & crafts, a village shop with a cafe, playground with ‘trim trail’, as well as three good pubs. On the outskirts of Brecon is a great Play Barn at Brynich. Further afield is The Red Kite Feeding Centre near Trecastle. A range of attractions are in the local area, including:

Pen y Fan.
Brecon Beacons National Park.
Brecon Cathedral.
Llangorse Lake.
