Pysemead Farm

Summary

Pyesmead Farm is on the edge of the New Forest National Park and offers beautifully appointed accommodation that is suitable for friends and families. We have four holiday homes available, all of which are situated in a pretty courtyard on the edge of our farm. The accommodation has been renovated from old barns, to provide a place to stay that is homely, warm and welcoming. Our farm is just a short drive from Romsey at Plaitford, making us an ideal base for exploring Hampshire.

About Pyesmead Farm

We are a livestock farm presently rearing Aberdeen Angus cattle and we also have a flock of sheep which usually lamb in April. Guests are very welcome to look round the farm, where we also have 2 fishing lakes.

As well as offering self catering accommodation, we also have a B&B and campsite on the farm. All guests are also welcome to use our indoor swimming pool which has just been newly renovated.

Our old barns have been completed to a high standard, to offer guests accommodation that sleeps from 2 to 7 people. They have all been fully equipped to ensure your stay with us, is as comfortable, easy and relaxing as possible. All cottages offer the following facilities:

Underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.
Heating and electricity included within the rates.
Linen and towels provided.
Freeview TV.
DVD player.

Outside there is garden furniture to enjoy in the warmer days, in the lovely courtyard. In the courtyard is a separate, shared laundry room.

The Hayloft

This was originally built as a stable block with a hayloft above. It now offers farmhouse style accommodation and has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. It has an open plan living space and still retains many original features.

The cottage sleeps up to 7 guests in the following rooms:

Double bedroom with en suite.
King size bedroom.
Twin bedroom.

Apple Pye Barn

Our most recent conversion, it is a lovely place to stay for a relaxing break away. It can sleep up to 4 people and is suitable for families or couples. The bedrooms comprise of:

Double room with king size bed.
Second bedroom with bunk beds.

Oak Apple Barn

A cosy cottage with an open plan living space. Just like our other cottages it still has many of the original features, including beautiful beamed walls and ceiling. It can comfortably sleep up to 4 people. The bedrooms comprise of:

Double bedroom.
Twin bedroom.

Acorns

Acorns is a beautifully converted old dairy building which has been finished to an exceptionally high standard making it a perfect place for a relaxing break. All on one level it is full of character and has vaulted ceilings throughout with all original oak beams.

This cottage sleeps two but has space for a cot. The bedroom has a king size bed.

Visiting Plaitford & Exploring Hampshire

Plaitford is a pretty Hampshire village set within the Test Valley. For those who are looking to enjoy a country break away and wanting to visit the coast, it is the ideal location. There are many lovely beaches within an hour’s drive.

There is so much to do in Hampshire, with many attractions and places of interest being close to the farm, this includes:

New Forest National Park.

Mottisfont Abbey.
Exbury Gardens & Steam Railway.
