Woodpecker Cottage offers wonderful self catering accommodation in the pretty village of Dale Abbey. Our cosy retreat near Ilkeston is in a beautiful rural location and a great base for exploring Derbyshire.

Accommodation

Our charming property sleeps up to 4 people and is beautifully furnished.

This cosy property retains many gorgeous features such as beams and an original bread oven. The house has been recently modernised and enjoys a light and airy feel. Stunning panoramic views can be enjoyed from all the windows. A well-equipped kitchen comes with a dishwasher and leads to the beamed dining room. You can relax in the beamed lounge which comes with a wooden floor, wood burning stove and TV/DVD player.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms: a double and a twin room. On the ground floor there is a bathroom with a modern white 3 piece suite and electric shower.

Outside there is a lawned garden and patio area. A lovely place to relax with a glass of wine whilst the sun is shining.

Visiting Dale Abbey & Exploring Derbyshire

Dale Abbey is a lovely village within a conversation area. You can enjoy superb footpaths and circular walks, bridleways and cycle routes from the door. Further afield in the city of Nottingham you can visit its many shops, theatres and concert venues. You can visit Sherwood Forest, made legendary by Robin Hood. This 450 acre country park in Nottinghamshire has walks, trails, and an adventure playground and plenty more. Lots of great attractions are in the local area:
