The Steading at Hearthstanes Estate in Tweedsmuir, Biggar in Lanarkshire, offers wonderful self catering accommodation in a stunning location. The estate covers several thousand acres of wild, unspoiled open hills and forests along both sides of the upper reaches of the renowned River Tweed, making us a truly idyllic location.

Accommodation

We offer excellent holiday homes in 5 Steading Cottage conversions. All the cottages offer their own private entrance and offer an individual character. In total, we can accommodate up to 25 people when the cottages are booked together.

Glenheurie Cottage

Our largest cottage sleeps 6-7 in a wheelchair-accessible bedroom and two upstairs bedrooms. 2 sofa beds are also available. The kitchen and living spaces will suit your needs.

Manyleith Cottage

Our cottage sleeps 4 in 2 twin rooms, each of which can be turned into super kings. On the ground floor is a kitchen and living space.

Lategillan Cottage

We offer accommodation for 6 – 8 people in 3 bedrooms that have twin beds, each of which can be combined to become a super king. On the ground floor, there is the living room and kitchen spaces, plus one and a half bathrooms.

Mathieside Cottage

Our cottage sleeps 2 – 4 people in 2 twin rooms that can be turned into super kings. A sofa bed is also available. On the ground floor are the living and kitchen spaces. Upstairs there is a bathroom.

Oliver Dod Cottage

We offer accommodation for 2 people in a twin that can be turned into a super king. There is a kitchenette and cosy living space.

All our properties come with Freeview TV and integral DVD, a well-equipped kitchen and laundry facilities.

Local Area

There is wide range of activities on the farm and the surrounding area. Sika and roe deer stalking with professional guides, fishing, hiking, biking and 9-pin bowling are possible on the Estate.
