Heron Cottage and Mallard Cottage

Summary

Set in the heart of the Kent Countryside, Heron and Mallard Cottages are two one storey converted stables situated behind a traditional Kent barn. They have been renovated and refurbished in 2017 to a very high standard.

Accommodation

Both are one-bedroom dwellings fully equipped as self catering holiday accommodation. Stays of one and two-week duration are offered during the summer months with Saturday change over days usual. Weekend and midweek breaks are welcomed at other times of the year. They are ideal for couples seeking country retreats.

Both cottages have their own private patios, overlooking the garden and its unfenced pond to fields beyond. Guests are welcome to use of the 36ft heated swimming pool. This is usually available from May until September, dependant on the weather.

Prices for both cottages are equal and range from £300 per week offseason to £475 per week at high season. Both cottages can be hired together.

Mallard Cottage

Mallard Cottage contains an open plan studio living area with well equipped kitchenette, dining table with two chairs and a sofa with coffee table.

Features include:

Digital television with Netflix, radio and free wi-fi internet.
Shower room with heated towel rail, basin and WC and a double bedroom complete the accommodation.
Washing and drying facilities are available in the main barn.
All linen and towels, and pool towels are included.

Heron Cottage

Heron Cottage contains a beautiful beamed sitting/dining area with separate well equipped kitchen.

Features include:

French windows open from the living room onto the patio.
Digital television with Netflix, radio and free wi-fi internet.
Shower room with heated towel rail, basin and WC.
The bedroom has a king-size bed that may be divided on request into two singles.
Washing and drying facilities are available in the main barn.
All linen and towels, and pool towels are included.

Visiting High Halden & Exploring Kent

The properties sit at the eastern margin of High Halden, a village 3 miles east of the historic market town of Tenterden and 9 miles west of Ashford with its easy transport links to London and the Channel Tunnel. Access to footpaths is direct from the property and the village shops, church and pub are less than 5 minutes’ walk away. Beaches, gardens, vineyards and several National Trust properties are all within short reach by car.
