Wellgarth Holiday Cottage is part of a row of traditional terraced cottages in Swinton near Malton. Our delightful self catering cottage in North Yorkshire is a great place to escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Accommodation

Our lovely cottage sleeps up to 4 and child friendly. The property is tastefully furnished and ideal for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

The cosy lounge comes with Freeview TV, DVD player and a CD system. The dining area is separate to the lounge and adjoins the kitchen. There is a wide range of books and games and numerous information leaflets about the area. Wi-Fi is also available. The fully equipped kitchen also includes a microwave, automatic washing machine and tumble drier.

First Floor sleeping arrangements consist of 1 double and 1 twin bedded room, (one bed 2′ 6″) with bathroom facilities (full-size bath) on the same floor.

Outside facilities include off road car parking and a garden with plenty of quiet areas for sitting. There is a portable barbecue for the brave and ample choice of seating. This is a great place for a coffee in the morning sun.

Cot and high chair are also available on request. Heating and hot water is by either open coal fire or if preferred metered electricity. All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided.

Visiting Swinton & Exploring North Yorkshire

The village itself has a bakery and a general Store and the Smithy Arms is now up and running with reasonably priced meals served every day from 12.00 to 20.30. The next village has a Cantonese restaurant with normal public house bar. The Natural Charm and beauty of the North York Moors and Yorkshire Wolds are within 20 minutes’ drive. The City of York can easily be reached by road or public transport.

The East Coast resorts are also within a 45-minute drive by car and offer a wide range of interesting places to visit or just relax over a fresh plate of Fish and Chips.
