Accommodation
Our cottage is a haven for relaxation and tranquillity in a countryside setting. The homely cottage is Grade II Listed and enjoys an old-fashioned atmosphere. The cottage is brimming with character and includes flagged floors and 300-year-old beams, plus even a piano.You can unwind in the lounge which has an open fire in the feature fireplace, a TV and DVD player, comfortable seating and a telephone (honesty box). A fully-equipped kitchen comes with an under-counter fridge, washing machine (in the outhouse) and Belfast sink, full-size dishwasher, Rayburn, induction hob, toaster, iron and ironing board and microwave oven. A fridge/freezer is available in the pantry.
Three bedrooms are available: a double, a twin room and a third bedroom with a double bed and single bed with a pull-out guest bed. All bed linen and towels are provided and we also provide a hair dryer. All the bedrooms share a bathroom with an electric shower over a cast-iron rolltop bath.
Outside there is a spacious garden to enjoy, perfect for savouring the stunning views over Swaledale. We also have an outhouse where hiking equipment/bikes can be stored.
Visiting Gunnerside & Exploring North Yorkshire
Gunnerside has lots of scenic walks to enjoy, plus a range of lovely cafes which serve lunches and cakes. Further afield in the Yorkshire Dales you can visit Richmond Castle, perched high on a hill above Richmond. You can stroll along the River Swale to Easby Abbey or step back in time at the Swaledale Museum. Attractions to visit include:Castle Howard.
