This self catering cottage sleeps up to 4 people with 1 double room and 1 one twin room. The living room in the holiday cottage is spacious but still cosy and has a multi-fuel stove, 42’’ TV and DVD player. There is a view of the garden and the open country from this room.Lamb Cottage

This magnificent listed stone farmhouse, situated in an area of great natural unspoilt beauty, is ideally situated for trips to the Highlands, islands, borderlands, Lake District and the interesting cities of Glasgow and Scotland's capital, Edinburgh.Central Scotland offers beauty, an area steeped in intriguing history, with a large variety of alternative holiday interests including woollen mills and Scottish tartan trail with museums, theatres, and many buildings of interest. Plus, of course, whisky distilleries which are open to welcome guests.
Ayrshire is a golfer's dreamland with the dramatic coastal links championship course at Troon, not to mention numerous golfing facilities available within close proximity. There is horse racing at Ayr.
The farm itself offers you the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful Scottish hills. Ideal for spending a little time on your own, taking it easy and relaxing, or there are lovely walks on your doorstep with bird watching. Lochfield is set in an elevated position (is approached by and at the end of a one mile private road).
There are 181 acres on this working farm above the Irvine Valley, designated as a listed wildlife site, including the walled garden and with a memorial stone to Sir Alexander Fleming.
There is a spectacular glen (Glen Water) with wonderful views, many different birds, plus burns running through the farmland. The clean air and soft spring water, together with the changing colours (particularly lovely at sunset and sunrise) all enhance the special beauty of Lochfield.
The west coast of Scotland is one of the loveliest and least spoilt areas of Britain.
