The cottage has one double bedroom with adjoining bathroom. There is a kitchen with a cooker, fridge, microwave, dish washer, washing machine and separate dining area. The living room has an open log fire and sliding glass doors to a secluded courtyard garden. There is gas central heating.There is a television. Gas central heating and an open log fire.
The village shop and Post Office with a good range of food and drink is just across the green. The
village pub, the Lamb Inn, with three real ales and good food is nearby and is dog friendly.
The cottage is available all year round, including winter weekends and short breaks.
Visiting Eastcombe & Exploring Gloucestershire
A network of public footpaths provides walkers with easy access to the Toadsmoor valley and surrounding countryside. Slad and the Woolpack Inn, of Laurie Lee fame, are less than a 3 miles walk with stunning views from Swifts Hill on the way. Other villages nearby are Bisley, Oakridge and France Lynch. Bisley, Oakridge and France Lynch have dog friendly pubs with goodfood.
Stroud, the main town, is just over four miles away with an excellent farmers' market on Saturdays as well as interesting independent shops and three supermarkets. Other local towns and villages include Painswick, Minchinhampton and Nailsworth, and Eastcombe is within easy reach of Gatcombe, Badminton, Tetbury, Cirencester, Cheltenham and Bath.
