Prospect Farm Cottages are a selection of stone barns that offer wonderful self catering accommodation within the small North Yorkshire village of Wilton. The holiday cottages near Pickering are in a secluded and peaceful area down a private drive.

Derwent/Sinnington

Perfect for a single person or couple, these roomy cottages offers accommodation of quality and character with beamed ceilings and galleried bedrooms. Tastefully furnished, the open plan lounge features an electric coal-effect stove and a television with DVD, perfect for those cosy nights in by the fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with a breakfast bar, electric cooker, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge/freezer. The shower room enjoys all the modern conveniences.

Saltersgate

Furnished to a high standard, this single-storey cottage is perfect for those looking for a relaxing break. Accommodation consists of a double bedroom, spacious shower room and a modern well equipped kitchen. The colour television with DVD and electric coal-effect stove make the lounge a tranquil place to unwind after a day on the moors. This cottage is accessible to wheelchair users.

Middleton

This exceptional cottage, newly converted from a listed stone barn, retains many original features and offers accommodation of quality and character for up to four people making this perfect for a family getaway – an extra bed is available on request.

The ground floor, furnished to a high standard, consists of a well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob. The open plan lounge features a stone fireplace with an electric coal- effect stove and television with DVD player (perfect for keeping the children entertained in the evenings).

Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (featuring a door on to the garden) and one with twin beds. The spacious, fully tiled shower room completes this lovely cottage. Upstairs has one twin bedded room and one double room with a door opening onto the garden. A spacious shower room with WC completes this lovely cottage.

We also have another property called Southview which sleeps 12 people.

Visiting Wilton & Exploring North Yorkshire

Prospect Farm, in the area of Ryedale, is situated on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park, a mile from the picturesque village of Thornton Dale which has all local amenities, traditional pubs and restaurants.

Ryedale offers one of the most diverse landscapes in England. The dramatic landscape of the moors, the tranquil hills of the Yorkshire Wolds and the beautiful coastline make it an area of outstanding natural beauty - perfect for exploring and outdoor activities.

Relax and explore the historic nearby towns of Helmsley, Kirkbymoorside and Thirsk to name but a few. If day trips are your thing, why not visit and enjoy the beautiful grandeur of Castle Howard, featured in the popular television programmes of Brideshead Revisited and the 1995 mini-series The Buccaneers, with its incredible rooms and breathtaking gardens.
