Bridge End Farm Cottages are a collection of luxurious and beautifully appointed self catering holiday cottages and an Elizabethan farmhouse on a working farm in Boot, Cumbria. Our award-winning properties are ideal for couples, families and groups of friends who are looking to explore the Lake District National Park.

All our properties are full of charm and character and include many homely comforts such as full Sky TV with sports, movies and children’s channels, free Wi-Fi internet access and iPod docking stations. There is also a laundry room for guests to use.

Steeped in Elizabethan history, the Farmhouse is a beautifully preserved 500-year-old property that sleeps eight guests plus a baby. Full of character, it features original flagstone floors, oak panelling and a private garden. There are two king-size bedrooms, two with twin beds and three bathrooms including a family bathroom, an en-suite and a separate shower room. In the colder months, enjoy cosy evenings by the log burner on sumptuous leather sofas, while summer invites you to relax in the garden or explore the scenic valley on foot. The Farmhouse is also dog-friendly, welcoming two well-behaved dogs, with a secluded garden that’s ideal for them to unwind after long countryside walks.

This charming cottage is full of character, on the ground floor, you'll find a double bedroom with a king-size bed and en-suite shower room, along with a separate family shower room. Upstairs, there's a triple bedroom with three single beds, a fully curtained galleried twin room with two singles and tucked away at the top of a second winding staircase, a double bedroom featuring a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom complete with a slipper bath.

This is a stunning and spacious property, perfect for entertaining, with an expansive open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. Built from striking Eskdale pink granite, it sleeps 8 plus a child and cot. Downstairs features two king-size bedrooms, one with an en-suite wet room and a separate family shower room. Upstairs, there’s a twin room with two singles and a single room with a captain’s bed, full-size pull-out bed, cot and an en-suite bathroom. The well-equipped kitchen includes a tall fridge and under-counter freezer, offering everything you need to create delicious meals. Wastwater Cottage is also dog-friendly, welcoming two well-behaved dogs.

Hardknott is the most spacious of our one-bedroom cottages, full of charm and character, with a romantic galleried bedroom that adds to its cosy appeal. Downstairs, you’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, an Italian leather sofa and a bathroom with a powerful over-bath shower. The back door opens directly into the paddock gardens, perfect for enjoying your morning tea or coffee surrounded by nature. Upstairs, the king-size bed in the gallery bedroom offers a peaceful retreat, with views of the fells through the skylight. Hardknott is also dog-friendly, welcoming one well-behaved dog.

This is a charming detached cottage with its own walled garden. This quirky upside-down layout features a king-size bedroom and marble shower room downstairs, while upstairs you'll find a full kitchen, living area and a cosy granite snug ideal for cuddling up with a movie. Step outside onto the upper staircase to take in stunning panoramic views. One well-behaved dog is also welcome.

This little cottage may be the smallest, but it's undeniably the cosiest and full of character. From the upstairs bedroom, you can hear the gentle flow of Whillan Beck beneath the old packhorse bridge. Downstairs, there’s a fully equipped kitchen and a snug Italian leather sofa, while upstairs features a double bedroom with a king-size bed and a bathroom complete with a shower and clawfoot bath. A backdoor opens directly into the peaceful paddock garden, perfect for relaxing in nature.

Wrynose is perfect for a relaxing getaway with its king-size bed, romantic slipper bath and full-sized shower. Upstairs, you can lie in bed and watch the stars through the skylight, while downstairs offers a fully equipped kitchen, an Italian leather sofa, Sky Movies and lovely stone features. Step out into the paddock gardens for a breath of fresh air or a quiet moment outdoors. One well-behaved dog is also welcome.

The cottages are set beside a beautiful 17th Century packhorse bridge and the tumbling Whillan Beck in the pretty village of Boot, in the Eskdale valley, Lake District. We are secluded but not isolated and form an integral part of the village with its 2 welcoming Inns just 50 yards and 150 yards away. There is stunning Lake District scenery all around and many of England's best walks on our doorstep. Attractions to visit include:
