Accommodation

The cottage was built in about 1890 and retains many of its original features.

The property has been decorated and furnished to a high standard. All the comforts of modern life are included in this 5 star property. The cottage includes comfortable beds. One bedroom contains a king size bed and the second bedroom is equipped with two single beds. A generously sized bathroom comes complete with separate bath and shower cubicle. All bed linen and towels are provided.

The cottage has a sitting room with an open fireplace, wood burning stove, exposed floorboards and ornate, wood clad walls. For your comfort and pleasure, there’s a flat screen Smart TV with Netflix, a DVD player and a wide selection of films to enjoy as well as books, games and puzzles. A fully equipped and modern kitchen will suit all your needs.

If you enjoy the outdoors, the whole of our 30 acre estate is there for you to explore. Whether you take pleasure in strolling by the banks of one of our three lakes, wandering through the bluebell woods, admiring our spectacular sunsets or just listening to sound of rushing water by one of our streams, there is something here for everyone.

Visiting Burwash Common & Exploring East Sussex

Our cottage is an ideal base for those who want to explore the many attractions in and around East Sussex. The Bluebell Railway is a mile round trip with 19th and early 20th Century steam locomotives. Drusilla’s Park is a wonderful zoo that specialises in small animals and insects. It dates to the early 1920’s and is likely to occupy your whole day. Many gardens, historical houses and several sailing clubs nearby. Many places to explore are nearby, including:

South Downs National Park.
Bodiam Castle.
Camber Sands.
Hastings Castle.
Eastbourner Pier.
