Kingshoath Cottage offers fabulous self catering accommodation in Clayhill near Rye. Our 16th Century cottage is nestled down a country lane on the edge of Beckley and ideally placed for exploring, Camber sands, Bodiam Castle, Battle 1066, and many other interesting places in Sussex/ Kent.
Our cottage sleeps up to 8 people and offers a rustic charm, great for a family or group holiday.
Inside we have a large, beamed lounge with a log fire, seating, a large TV with Freeview and a range of toys and books for children. A small study is great for reading in.
The well-equipped kitchen has a double oven range style gas 6 ring hob/electric double oven cooker, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The kitchen units are partly recycled from the original old shop furniture and there is a butler sink. The dining room seats 8 people and there is a snug with an L-shaped sofa and TV. French doors open to the garden.
In total, we have 4 bedrooms, including 1 large four-poster room, 1 king and 2 twins. There are 2 bathrooms in total.
Outside we have a large garden with a BBQ, seating and a swing.
Only a short stroll from us is the Rose & Crown, a traditional country pub that serves good food. You can relax on the golden beach at Camber Sands or visit one of the beautiful gardens in the area, including the ones at Great Dixter and Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens.
