The Wing offers fabulous self catering accommodation in Golden Cross. Based near Hailsham in a scenic area of East Sussex, our single-storey Edwardian wing adjoins the Manor House, ideal for additional families and friends.
Our property dates from 1911 and was originally the drawing room and library for the main house. This ground-floor apartment now offers quality accommodation featuring yellow walls, parquet floors, domed ceilings and a diamond-paned window.
Inside we have a spacious sitting room with seating, a wood burning stove, TV and DVD Player. This is a great place for the whole family to relax after a day sightseeing. A well-equipped kitchen comes with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer.
A spacious double room comes with two single mattresses that can be made as a super king. A second room has two divans that can be used as singles. The is also a double sofa bed in the privacy screen in an alcove. The bathroom has a bath, electric shower and basin. There is a separate WC.
Outside we have a secluded private garden with seating and a Chiminea, perfect for a glass of wine in the afternoon sun.
You have use of a range of shared facilities, including an exotic heated swimming pool, tennis court, children’s play area, sauna and jacuzzi. You also have free access to all parts of the garden and park around the estate.

We are ideally placed for discovering all the area has to offer. Play on one of the golf courses or walk along The South Downs Way which stretches over 100 miles from the seashore at Eastbourne to the centre of Winchester. You can also visit one of the local nature reserves. Attractions to visit include:
