The Oast House in Golden Cross offers fantastic self catering accommodation. Our property near Hailsham boasts stunning views of the South Downs, perfect for a memorable break in East Sussex.

Accommodation

Our property was originally built in the 19th Century and now offers high-quality accommodation to suit all your needs. The house sleeps up to 12 people, ideal for a family or group holiday.

On the ground floor, there is a spacious sitting room to unwind in. Facilities include an open fire, furniture, a TV and a DVD player. There is a dining room with seating for up to 20 people, plus a settee that can be made as a sofa bed.

A well-equipped kitchen comes with a range of appliances: an electric double-oven cooker, a microwave, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a fridge freezer and a coffee machine. The oak table seats 12 people and doors lead to a BBQ area. A shower room is also on the ground floor.

Upstairs the is a four-poster room, 1 family room (zip and lock double and two single beds), 1 room with 3 beds and 1 small single room. A single folding bed in the four-poster room can also be provided. A bathroom has a bath and WC and there is a separate corner WC.

Outside we have a secluded private garden with seating, a brick BBQ and a fire bowl, perfect for al fresco dining over a glass or two.

You have use of a range of shared facilities, including an exotic heated swimming pool, tennis court, children’s play area, sauna and jacuzzi. You also have free access to all parts of the garden and park around the estate.

Visiting Golden Cross & Exploring East Sussex

You can visit one of the local nature reserves whilst staying with us. Play one of the golf courses or walk along The South Downs Way which stretches over 100 miles from the sea shore at Eastbourne to the centre of Winchester. Attractions to visit include:

Knockhatch Adventure Park.
Arlington Reservoir.
Herstmonceux Castle.
Drusillas Park.
Abbot’s Wood.
