Jerusalem Farm Pods are located on a small, picturesque farm situated in the heart of the East Lothian countryside. Ideally placed just a 20-minute drive from a range of attractions, the location offers easy access to hill walking, water sports, award-winning beaches and several championship golf courses.
The pods themselves are beautifully handcrafted in Kinross, Scotland, featuring a sturdy wooden design with a curved shape that allows them to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Inside, guests will find everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay amidst nature, without the inconveniences of traditional camping. Each pod includes a queen-size bed with bed linen and towels provided, a private shower room with toilet and wash hand basin and a kitchen area equipped with a microwave, induction hob, toaster and a full range of utensils, crockery and cutlery.
A dining area offers space for enjoying meals, while the large two-seater sofa is perfect for relaxing with a book or simply soaking up the stunning views of the Lammermuir Hills to the south. Each pod is also fitted with a 19" television, for which guests will need an Amazon Prime login and free Wi-Fi is available, particularly useful for those visiting the area for work.
Jerusalem Farm offers an ideal setting for guests to unwind, reflect, and immerse themselves in nature. The farm is home to an array of wildlife, including deer, foxes, owls, badgers, hares, and rabbits. The River Tyne borders the southern edge of the farm, just beyond the field where the pods are located. It’s not uncommon to spot a buzzard or heron flying overhead, and there’s a bench by the river where visitors can sit with a book or simply enjoy the soothing sounds of flowing water and birdsong.
Fire pits are available for use, offering a cosy gathering space or the option to cook outdoors. Fire pit boxes can be purchased on-site for £10 and include fire lighters, matches, logs, extendable skewers and marshmallows for toasting. However, during very hot and dry weather, fire pits and barbecues may not be permitted due to the risk of wildfires.
In addition to its tranquil rural charm, Jerusalem Farm is just a 30-minute drive from the city of Edinburgh. Steeped in culture and history, Edinburgh has been Scotland’s capital since the 15th century and offers a wealth of attractions for those wishing to explore beyond the countryside. There is plenty to see and do in the area, including:
Glenkinchie Distillery.
National Museum of Scotland.
National Galleries of Scotland.
