Our holiday home is perfectly located for those who are wishing to explore this fantastic part of the country and is only a short distance from Durham, Washington, Sunderland, Gateshead, Newcastle and South Shields.

We are an accommodation provider for Beamish Folk Museum with guests receiving a discount code to visit the museum We are only 5 minutes from the A1(M) making us ideal for both business leisure guests and other short term lets. For longer days out we are 1 hr 20 minutes to Berwick and 1 hr 25 minutes to Penrith. With a reputation for cleanliness, The Briar Rose continue to receive excellent reviews with many returning guests.

The bungalow is ideally situated for our guests to explore and experience many of these. Local shops and amenities are less than a 10 minute walk away and there are several country pubs within a 3 mile radius.
