Culdoach Cottage offers self catering accommodation at Barwhillanty Estate, home to 5,000 acres of stunning landscaped grounds. Based at Parton and just a short drive from Castle Douglas, we are in the ideal location for exploring Dumfries & Galloway.

Our gardener’s cottage is brimming with charm and character. The cottage sleeps up to 6 people and is bursting with floral beauty and boasts views of the Scottish countryside.

An open plan living area is great for relaxing in after a day of sightseeing. Unwind on the comfy seats and catch your favourite show on the Freesat smart TV. You can listen to a few tunes on the Sonos sound system. Rustle up some delicious dishes in the fully-equipped kitchen which has a microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher and freezer. We also provide a welcome pack for your arrival.

In total, there are 3 bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is a double en suite room and upstairs there are two further bedrooms which can be made as a twin or double. Both of the upstairs rooms share a bathroom. All bed linen and towels are included.

Outside there is an enclosed garden with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining when the sun is shining.

The Barwhillanty Estate is nestled in the Galloway Hills, ideal for outdoor lovers looking to savour amazing natural scenery. You can enjoy the abundance of walks, trails and routes, as well as see the local wildlife. Lots of activities are in the area, including golfing, horse riding, sailing, cycling and much more. The town of Castle Douglas is only 7 miles away and the beach just 10 miles away. Further attractions to visit include:
